While travelers passed thru ”Indian Hills” in the 1800s, a handful of
homestead families built a school in 1895. ”Tennbrool<” was the first of
many summer camps established in the area. It brought artists, writers,
M musicians and dancers beginning in 1917. George Olinger
1 acquired 2200 acres for ”Indian Hills” development in
. p 1918. He paid Indian artists to build living and studio
_i quarters to entertain visitors at the adobe site. Olinger
donated 100 acres in 1922 for the International Sunday
’' ‘- School Association camp named Geneva Glen, which
‘ continues to thrive in 2016. Most visitors are enjoying a
hike on Mount Falcon Open Space Park.

a moratorium on water taps was declared in 1973.
Volunteer firefighters formed a special district in 1954. The
