Roundup Riders of the Rockies
RoundUpRiders.com
This group was established in the 1940s at Paradise Hills on Lookout Mountain by Joe Dekker and Howard Lamm. As many as 60 men continue to meet annually to share a week of riding horseback and camping to “perpetuate the Western Tradition of the relationship between the American cowboy and his horse.” A diverse group of celebrities, ranchers, farmers, businessmen, attorneys, veterinarians, and retired military gather in the high country. It began on Lookout Mountain and continues in Colorado and Wyoming as they share a respect for the American West, conservation, environment, and love of horses. They are dedicated to the preservation of public lands.
