Bu alo Bill was buried on Lookout Mountain in 1917 to support his appreciation of the “best view in Colorado.” He was a genuine hero and notorious showman who appreciated the American Indian and paid women the same as men. The Pahaska Tepee was built below the grave to provide a gift shop and restaurant to visitors within Denver’s park in 1922. Denver built the Bu alo Bill Museum next door in 1970. An estimated 500,000 people visit the grave annually. The grave and museum are within Denver’s Lookout
