This dome was built in the 1990s after initially existing on “Courthouse Hill” on Washington Ave. in 1872, and then within Colorado School of Mines campus in 1965. The current campus south of 6th Avenue includes a glass-dome administration and courts building (“Taj Mahal”), and buildings for Open Space, Coroner, District Attorney, Social Services, Sheri , and County Jail.
