Bear Creek Canyon (Hwy 74) Parks
From Morrison to the Evergreen Dam, Bear Creek Canyon gains more tributaries for Denver’s historic “Municipal Trout Stream.” State prisoners improved the road adjacent to the creek in 1911. After 1972, Je Co Open Space preserved Lair O’ the Bear Park and Bear Creek Canyon Tract along Highway 74, and Mount Falcon Park between Indian Hills and Morrison.
